It was a Saturday, I was woken up at dawn, and in the spur of the moment I decided – why not? – to take the first ferry out. As ever I was short on time, as I docked in Bremerton I had just enough time to drive back through Bainbridge for the return trip. Yet the time crunch didn’t get in the way of the sunrise over the Sound and that eerie morning calm over the water – here’s a little piece of it for you.
